Woodbury Ambassadors Royal Family Candidate Information

EXTENDED ELIGIBILITY!! — The Woodbury Ambassadors Royal Family is recruiting girls and boys interested in becoming a Woodbury Ambassador candidate. Come and join the fun by volunteering in your community, meeting new people and potentially earning a scholarship!   Woodbury Ambassador candidates must be entering Junior Year of high school or greater and/or pursuing secondary education. For candidates entering  junior or senior year in high school, they must attend school in District 833, 834 or 622 or work in Woodbury. Candidates entering college or post-secondary education must live or work in Woodbury. There is also a Little Woodbury Ambassador category for youth entering into grades 3-5 in the fall of 2018, and attending school in District 833, 834 or 622.

Community Service

During the Woodbury Ambassadors Royal Family candidacy month, you will participate in a variety of community service outreach programs.  Organizations like Adopt-A-Highway and Feed My Starving Children depend on volunteers from the community to be successful.  With your help, you will not only be supporting these programs, but will gain insightful knowledge as to why civic duty is important.  During the program, you will also represent Woodbury and promote Woodbury Days while accompanying the float in several fun parades and participate at ribbon cutting ceremonies for new Woodbury businesses.


The Woodbury Ambassadors Royal Family program is a great way to meet new friends and have fun with others who may have similar goals and interests. Not only will you be spending time with candidates from the Woodbury area, you will also have the opportunity to meet many youth from various communities throughout the Twin Cities and learn about their hometowns.  You truly become part of a large extended family.

Personal Growth

Personal growth can also be expected during the Woodbury Ambassadors Royal Family Candidacy program with opportunities for public speaking, volunteering and selling Woodbury Days buttons.  In additon to classes in etiquette, city government, and job interviewing techniques,  you will be challenged to try new things and make new friends!


As a candidate, you will be participating in many activities to enhance your social and real-life networking skills. You will meet many people in our community including city government leaders, local business owners and other people who are very community minded including nonprofit organization leaders and volunteers. Many of the same leaders in the community could assist you with some of your life goals such as college aspirations, career plans and giving back to the community.
